ESF Consultants Completes Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Masinga Dam Raising Project

ESF Consultants is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study for the Raising of Masinga Dam, a strategic hydropower infrastructure project undertaken by the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen). The ESIA study evaluated the potential environmental and social impacts associated with the proposed dam-raising works and identified mitigation and management measures in compliance with Kenyan environmental regulations and internationally recognized environmental and social standards. ESF Consultants has supported Pharo Ventures in the successful conduct of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the proposed Wajaale Dam Project in Somaliland.The ESIA study assessed potential environmental and social impacts associated with the dam development and recommended mitigation and management measures in line with applicable environmental regulations and international best practice. The assessment contributes to sustainable water infrastructure development by supporting water security, climate resilience, and responsible environmental and social management in the region.

ESF awarded Power Africa Contract on ESG for 40 MW Nyakwere Hill Solar Power Project

ESF has been retained under Power Africa initiative by United States Trade and Development Agency and Quaint Energy to develop environmental and social documentation and resettlement planning for the proposed Quaint Energy 40MW in Western Kenya. The scope of the assignment include preparing IFC and Equator Principle aligned Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Resettlement Action Plan and Environmental and Social Management System for the project. The study is to take 4 months. The deliverable will include bankable ESG documentation that will ensure financial closure to the project.
