ESF Consultants was engaged to undertake environmental and social due diligence and Gap analysis of the Athi River Thermal Power project based on The Equator Principles, International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards and World Bank EHS Guidelines for Thermal Power. The assessment involved review of the project’s ESIA report, project reports, EHS manuals and records.
Performance Standards and a compliance action plan was developed based on the recommendations and gaps identified between the project and the standards. This action plan had a purpose of outlining the actions which the project management should undertake to achieve compliance with all these standards.
